Managing Multiple Phones
You can have multiple phones under the same household with Wiley!
All phones will share the same number and ring simultaneously, just like the old days! You can add as many extra phones as you'd like.
We charge $3.50/mo per extra device.
Message us at hello@wileyphone.com with the MAC address of the additional phone(s) you'd like to add & we'll get them added to your account.
Quick Summary
- All phones on your account share one phone number.
- When someone calls, all phones ring at the same time.
- Whichever phone is picked up first takes the call.
- Each phone can have its own WiFi settings and device name.
How Multi-Phone Works
Wiley uses a "ring group" — this means every phone on your account is part of a group that rings simultaneously. When someone calls your Wiley number:
- All plugged-in, connected phones ring at the same time.
- The first phone to be picked up gets the call.
- The other phones stop ringing.
- If no one answers, the call goes to voicemail.
Adding a New Phone
- Purchase an additional Wiley phone.
- Log into the parent portal.
- The setup process will guide you through adding the new phone to your existing account using its MAC address. (note. if you already have a Wiley Buddy & WiFi configured your new device(s) will use those WiFi credentials.)
- Follow setup instructions** — and get your Wiley Buddy or Wiley Magic Box + Other phone connected & set up.
Device Names
Each phone can have a display name to help you identify them:
- "Kitchen Phone"
- "Living Room Phone"
- "Kids Room Phone"
You can set or change device names in Settings → Device Configuration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do all phones share the same contacts and speed dials? Contacts (allowlist/blocklist) apply to the entire account — all phones follow the same rules. Speed dial assignments can be configured per phone.
Q: Can I have different quiet hours for different phones? Quiet hours currently apply to the whole account (all phones). Individual phone scheduling is not available yet.
Q: What if one phone is connected via WiFi and another via ethernet? That's fine! Each phone connects independently to the internet. One can use WiFi and another can use ethernet. They'll both ring when a call comes in.
